Deciduous forest on shallow soil.

Description
Tree ca 4 m tall, the trunk 6 cm diam; bark mottled purplish-brown, lustrous with prominent horizontal lenticels; hypanthium red; petals pink; stamens ca 30, pink or in some flowers white; ovary and style green. This tree spontaneous; tree tagged with specimen number. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
