Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the town of Gongogi (alternate spelling) in Mun. Gongogi, Bahia. Using Geonames.org, located the town of Gongogi, and using coordiantes provided by Geonames.org visulaized the town of Gongogi on Google Maps - Satellite View. Using Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs, found coordinates (final) for the approximate geographic center of the town. Because this locality description is vauge, the boundaries of the town of Gongogi (though clearly defined) do not necesarily encompas the area of collection; therefore, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to estimate the linear extent by measureing a straight line from the final coordinates near the center of the town of Gongogi to the center of the nearest named place, the town of Laje Do Banco (-14.3638081 -39.4119501), then dividing that distance by 2. Input coordinates, linear extent (3695.42 m), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Undefined area).
