  Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced along shoreline of Rio Negro, north of the urban area Manaus. Using Google Maps, located Rio Negro adjacent to Manaus, Amazonas. Used measurement tool to measure a straight line beginning at the start of Rio Negro at the southern-most tip of Manaus to the farthest extent of the Manaus shoreline that is along Rio Negro. Halved this extent to approximate the geographic center of the Manaus shoreline adjacent to Rio Negro. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates. Used measurement tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the Manaus shoreline along the river. Input coordinates, linear extent (59462.9 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
