VENTURA COUNTY: Los Padres National Forest. Matilija Canyon,
adjacent to Matilija Canyon Road, 1.0 mile W of the Maricopa Hwy (Rt.
33).

34.493 N. 119.319 W. Elevation 361 m.

Perennial herb; erect to spreading; up to 80 cm tall and 80 cm wide.
Plants in fruit and flower. Flowers creamy-white to yellow.

Plants growing on cliff face and adjacent to road. Scattered at this
location, unobserved in adjacent chaparral.

Cliff/ruderal community derived from adjacent chaparral. Associated
spp: Salvia apiana, Salvia mellifera, Malosma laurina, Yucca whippleii,
Mirabilis laevis var. crassifolia, Acmispon, Avena barbata, Stipa.
