    Treeland and grassland habitats at treeline. Extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets over bare cliffs. Boulders are mostly aranitical. Dense, mossy woodland amongst very large boulders forming gulches. Moss cover approaching 100%. 1000 m sampled. . Woodlands consist of Hesperomeles, Miconia, Barnadesia, Baccharis, etc. . Abundant. On branches of trees. In the understory.
