Habitat
Inhabted lower slopes and coastal plain. Marshy low coastal terrace bordered by mangrove swamps. Common on edge of marsh.

Large spreading tree 15 m. tall; fruit fleshy, yellow; flesh astringent, seed edible. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
