    Handsome littoral tree, edible fruit. [From attached typed slip of paper: A very handsome littoral tree, yielding an edible almond-like fruit. This deciduous tree looks very beautiful with its "autumn foliage". The very young shoots are mixed with an earl called "tawal" and used for blackening the teeth.
