Thallus gelatinous (having the appearance of Tetraspora), 4 mm. thick; fil- aments somewhat fasciculately branched, 12-14 mic. in diameter ; cells cylin- drical, 4-5 times longer than wide ; branches long attenuate, flagelliform with cells twice as long as broad ; end cells of branches developed into very long hairs ; intercalary cells of branches producing zoogonidia. Attached to submerged twigs in spring water flowing from under ice in stone quarry. University campus, Minneapolis, Minn. Coll. Miss Caroline M. Crosby, Miss Gene Lilley, 27 F 1902.
