    Thalli the size of a mustard seed, often confluent, bright green, encrusted with ime, smooth; filaments regularly dicotomous, soft, loosely arranged, flaccid; cells about 7 mic. wide, 2-3 times longer than broad; end cells of branches awl shapped, sometimes terminating in a long bristle.

lime, smooth; filaments regularly dicotomous, soft, loosely arranged, flac-
cid ; cells about 7 mic. wide, 2-3 times longer than broad; end cells of
branches awl-shaped, sometimes terminating in a long bristle.
