Description
Pileus 7 cm broad, plane, dry, finely subtomentose, red to pinkish red with a bit of yellow at margin. Flesh yellow, cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Tubes barely adnexed to nearly adnate, shallow, yellow, cyanescent, with pores yellow and cyanescent, some with a slight reddish tint. Stipe 7 x 1.5 cm, slightly narrower at apex and base, otherwise equal, dry, finely but densely subpruinose ridged to nearly, but not reticulate, bright yellow at apex, progressively orange to pink to red below, to deep brownish red dull ochre yellow at base, with interior yellow, erratically and lightly cyanescent above, deep red in a small zone at base.
