Description
Pileus 4-10 cm broad convex to plane to irregular in outline from mutual pressure in habit, dry, finely subtomentose, reddish brown (8E8). Flesh white, changing to pinkish (spotty), with mild odor and mild taste. Tubes adnexed, vinaceous pink, with pores staining brown. Stipe 8-9 cm long, 9-20 mm broad, slightly curved, equal to subventricose and tapering to base, dry, yellowish white at extreme apex, lilaceous to pale violet downward becoming pale lilac brown to pale brownish, white toward base, subpruinose to substreaked, with in situ dark olive green stains, with interior white, changing to pinkish in the apex, whitish with fuscous blotches (not from oxidation) toward base.
