    Castanopsis-dominated forest with scattered Dipterocarps, Lithocarpus.

  • Description

    Pileus: 12-37 mm, convex becoming somewhat plane, plicate-sulcate, light brown (6D4-6D5), strongly hygrophanous, fading to pale pinkish buff and becoming soft (subvelutinous?) in texture; margin decurved; context white; odor fungoid.Stipe: 19-38 x 1.5-3 mm, enlarged at base, solid with thick cartilaginous rind, distinctly fibrous, fibers dark brown (6E6-6E7) over a whitish ground. Context white. Basal mycelium white, not copious.Hymenophore: Lamellae adnate, occasionally very short-decurrent, moderately broad, slightly thickened, distant, light pinkish-orange (6A3-6B3); edges entire; lamellulae present.Comments: See also: Osmundson 1165, 1174.
