Description
Pileus: 6-44 mm, convex becoming plane, plicate-sulcate, depressed at disc; very pale orange-brown, becoming nearly white. Context extremely thin. Odor pungent but not distinguishable. Taste mild.Stipe: 22-44 x 1-3 mm, +/- equal but slightly enlarged at base, terete to slightly sinuate, hollow, longitudinally fibrous, pale pinkish brown (similar to color of young pileus). Basal mycelium fairly copious, white.Hymenophore: Lamellae adnate, thin, narrow, subdistant, white to faintly pinkish orange; edges entire; lamellulae present.Comments: The very delicate-looking, pale basidiomes and strong odor distinguish this species.
