    Mixed forest (conifer, hardwoods). Pinus and Dipterocarpaceae. Solitary. On soil.

  • Description

    Pileus: 72 mm, irregularly convex, densely matted subtomentose, brownish orange (approx. 6B7 to 6C7), becoming pale in age. Context white. Stipe: 100 x 16 mm, terete, slightly tapered toward base; bright yellow-orange (between 3A5 and 4A5), paler toward base. Fibrillose hairs absent. Basal mycelium copious, white. Hymenophore: Poroid; adnate; pores 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter, angular, cream colored, staining pale brownish yellow; tubes concolorous. Macrochemical Reaction: Pileus, stipe turn bright yellow in ammonia.
