Description
Pileus: 10-31 mm, nearly conic at first, becoming campanulate to nearly convex, shallowly sulcate, violet (16F5), hygrophanous, becoming pale violet, and eventually brown (6D5), especially at disc; margin inrolled slightly, becoming decurved, with minutely fibrillose partial veil remnants adhering. Context white or pale violet. Odor raphanoid.Stipe: 32-65 x 2-4 mm, enlarged slightly at base, solid, fibrous, pale violet (16D4 or lighter), sometimes only over apical 1/3 to 1/2, otherwise nearly white; context violet over apical half, white below; partial veil cortinate, white, leaving a thin fibrillose annulus that becomes rusty brown when basidiospores deposited.Hymenophore: Lamellae slightly notched, moderately broad, thin, close, violet (16F5) becoming rusty brown in maturity; edges entire. Lamellulae present.Macrochemical Reaction: NH4OH and 3% KOH negative on pileus, stipe, and partial veil.
