Description
Pileus: 33-55 mm, convex becoming plane, orange red (9A8-10A8) toward disc, light yellow toward margin; margin striate; disc with small white velar remnants. Context thin, white. Odor mild.Stipe: 92-98 x 4-5 mm, short napiform, stuffed with white pith; light yellow (concolorous with pileus margin), white below; minutely floccose-pubescent. Volva circumsessile with two concentric rings of volval tissue above; white with red pigmentation especially around upper margin and on concentric rings. Annulus superior, membranous, pendant, non-persistent, white. Hymenophore: Lamellae free, thin, moderately broad, close, white; edges minutely serrulate, at least when young, sometimes appearing entire in older specimens.
