Terrestrial; sap smelling somewhat of
celery not oxalic acid; internodes 3-5
cm long, 3-4 cm diam., dark green and
moderately glossy; petioles sheathed
3/5 length, margin rounded on one
side, acute on the other, inrolled;
free part deeply and sharply sulcate,
surface dark green and weakly glossy,
densely greenish whitish mottled
throughout; blades subcoriaceous ,
semiglossy, slightly bicolorous;
midrib flat, more or less concolorous
and weakly mottled above, narrowly
rounded, paler and pale-mottled below;
primary lateral veins weakly
qui1 ted—sun ken above, convex and
weakly pleated-raised below; minor
veins darker than surface below;
inflorescences 5 per axil; spathe
14-19 cm long, 2.1 cm wide, 1.2 cm
thick, 2.2-2.3 times longer than
peduncle; peduncle and spathe medium
green, densely pa 1 e-mo111ed.
