slope. Open community of Pinus contorta,
Populus tremuloides, with Abies lasiocar-
pa reprod. Assoc: Symphoricarpos oreo-
philus, Senecio serra, Thalictrum occiden-
tale, Trisetum spicatum, and Calamagrostis
rubescens. Pits forming small colonies in
forest openings; rays lavender.
