Habitat: northerly slope, Doug fir-spruce-white fir forest

Associated spp: Pseudotsuga menziesii, Picea engelmannii, Abies concolor,

Bromus ciliatus, Trisetum montanum, Acer glabrum, Populus tremuloides

Notes: rhizomatous perennial; ray flowers light purple, common
