SW facing slope, 50%. Loose, gravelly soil with shallow silt. Plants on terraces between sagebrush with little vegetative cover. Limestone substrate. Associated with Elytrigia spicata. Phlox hoodii, Sitanion hystrix, Oryzopsis hymenoides, Mentzelia albicaulis, Castilleja angustifolia, Antennaria dimorpha, Atriplex confertifolia. Common. Ray flowers purple.
