ca 2 miles SW of Howe. T5N,R29E,S17,SW
1/4,NW 1/4. Elevation 5100*- Artemisia
arbuscula arbuscula community. SW facing
slope, 50%. Loose, gravelly soil with
shallow silt. Plants on terraces between
sagebrush with little vegetative cover.
Limestone substrate. Associated with
Elytrigia spicata. Phlox hoodii, Sitanion
hystrix, Oryzopsis hymenoides, Mentzelia
albicaulis, Castilleja angustifolia,
Antennaria dimorpha, Atriplex
confertifolia.

Common. Ray flowers purple.
