WAYNE CO. Open, rocky slope between aspen groves on
Thousand Lake Mountain at Elkhorn Ranger Station, 15 miles
east of Fremont. Twp. 27 S., R. U E., S. lU. Elevation
9900 feet. Rays white or nearly so. Sparsely scattered
among the much more abundant plants of E. aphanactis var.
congestus (No. 9326), and looking very much like them ex-
cept for the presence of rays. No intermediates seen.
