Anaconda, vicinity of Mt. Tiny. Elev. 9600
ft.; to NW of Mt. on slopes above and to N
of Goat Flats, S-facing snow pocket or
open alpine 15% slope, 30% exposed rock,
10% bare ground.

With dominants: Cassiope, Antennaria
lanata, Polygonum bistortoides, also with
dwarf Salix, Potentilla, Erioqonum
simplex, Juncus, Poa alpina.

Rays pale lavender-pink; disk yellow;
plants forming mats to 3 dm. broad.
