    Small tree or shrub-like; wood heavy, burly, moderately hard, bitter, odorless, sappy white; bark brown and scaling on the stem, smooth and grayish on the branches, reddish brown beneath the epidermis; inflorescence terminal, erect, greenish except the creamy white odorless flowers.
