head of Bernard Cr. drainage on N end of Dry
Diggins ridge, elevation 7,400'. Level and open
rocky flat on dry, shallow, gravelly loam border-
ed by forest of Abies lasiocarpa and Picea engel-
mannii, 1/4 mile SW along FS trail 112 from its
jnct with trails 57 and 140, SW 1/4 SE 1/4 Sec 3
T23N R2W. Common with Sedum lanceolatum, Lomatiurn
nudicaule, Arenaria aculeata, and Eriogonum
flavum. FI sts prostrate; rays purple; basal lvs
with memb and flared petiole, strongly ciliate
near base.
