ca. 1/2 mi W of and 500 ft above Hwy.
940; elev 8500 ft., 50*N, 115*W.

Steep 50%+ E-facing slopes of powdery
coal talus and rock ledges. In coal
talus.

With Poa arctica, P. rupicola, P. alp-
ina. Dominants: Dryas octopetala, Salix.
Also with Erigeron compositum, Saxifraga
bronchialis, Smelowskia calycina, Silene
acaulis, Phacelia sericea; Abies and
Lanx very sporadic.
