At least five species of Erigeron were found together at
this locality as follows* E. blooaeri (two collections 974 &
975, the former unusual for the great number of bracts on the
^peduncles and subtending the phyllaries; both diploid, 2n=9 II),
£• chrysopsidis (976, rays yellow, no chromosone count), E.
elegantulns (979, blue-rayed triploid, 2n=27), E. linearis (980,
yellow-rayed pentaploid, 2n=ca. 45), and E. pumilis (982, tetra-
ploid, 2n=18 II).

In addition, two fwtative hybrids resulting from crosses
involving E. elegantulus and E. linearis were collected: 977
with white rays (unfortunately, no chromosone count) and 978
with cream rays (tetraploid, 2n=36).
