Distribution
At least five species of Erigeron were found together at this locality as follows: E. bloomeri (two collections 974 & 975, the former unusual for the great number of bracts on the peduncles and subtending the phyllaries; both diploid, 2n=9 II), E. chrysopsidis (976, rays yellow, no chromosome count), E. elegantulus (979, blue-rayed triploid, 2n=27), E. linearis (980, yellow-rayed pentaploid, 2n=ca. 45), and E. puailis (982, tetra- ploid, 2n=18 II). In addition, two putative hybrids resulting from crosses involving E. elegantulus and E. linearis were collected: 977 with white rays (unfortunately, no chromosome count) and 978 with cream rays (tetraploid, 2n=36). Herbarium of the University of California Erigeron btoomeri A. Gray var. bloomeri. det. A. Cronquist, 1970. Chromosome count: 2n = 9 II. Oregon.
