WASHINGTON CO. Open, rocky, gravelly, granitic
hillsides on south slope of Beaverdam Mts., 7
miles north-northeast of Utah-Arizona boundary,
a little more than 2 miles above Castle Cliff,
on U.S. highway 91, between St. George and
Mesquite (Nevada). Joshua tree zone, at lower
limit of juniper and sagebrush, but above the
Larrea community.

Shrub 3-7 dm. tall. Rays (7) 8-10 (11).
