In rocky (calcareous) alluvial soil on S-facing slope with Artemisia.
Chrvsothamnus & Sarcobatus. Herbaceous perennials from
woody, branched caudices; herbage densely pilose-strigose, gray-
green to whitish; leaf blades orbicular, to 2 cm in diam., strongly
crisped in vivo, ray florets neutral; ligules to 2 cm long, yellow.
