Lat.: 38°14'16,,N Long.: 115°23'33"W (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 5360 ft. In rocky (calcareous) alluvial soil on S-facing slope with Artemisia. Chrvsothamnus & Sarcobatus. Herbaceous perennials from woody, branched caudices; herbage densely pilose-strigose, gray- green to whitish; leaf blades orbicular, to 2 cm in diam., strongly crisped in vivo, ray florets neutral; ligules to 2 cm long, yellow.
