  • Description

    Pileus 14-16 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, very finely matte, dark brownish gray to light brownish gray, nearly white and tuberculate-sulcate at margin. Lamellae free, crowded, white, with fimbriate edges, with truncate lamellulae. Partial veil absent. Stipe 12-15 cm long, 1.8-2 cm broad, equal with a slight taper at base, dry, white, brownish from handling (or soil?), finely subfloccose above, matted fibrillose striate below, subsquamulose to recurved squamulose (pale gray) near base, with a short , white volval cup. Large white, volval patch present on cap in one.
