Description
Pileus 6-8.5 cm broad, plano-convex to nearly plane, dry, with felty subfloccose patches, cocoa brown to cinnamon brown (6D5), white at margin from occasional partial veil remnants. Flesh white over gills, pinkish brown to orange brown under disc and in stipe. Lamellae free, crowded, pinkish brown (not pink) at first, chocolate brown with age, with subfimbriate margin (speckled whitish). Stipe 4-5 cm long, 1.5 cm broad, subbulbous, white above and below, fibrillose striate, with interior pithy, with flaring pendant partial veil, uniformly white and slightly thickened at edge; cocoa to cinnamon brown colored subfloccose zone at "margin" of basal bulb.
