Harrisburg levee, W side of Middle Fork of the Saline
River. Elev. 350 ft. Oak flatwoods, changing to
floodplain forest downslope. Light-colored clay; T9S,
R6E, NW/4, SE/4, SW/4, sect.11. Rays golden-yellow
with reddish-brown base; disc flowers reddish-brown.
Involucre reddish brown; locally common in sun, levee.
