Rd. Mackinac Straits, ca. 2 mi W of St. Ignace.
Calcareous shales and sand; windswept area; Thuja.

Rays and disc yellow; locally common perennial in
colonies 10 m across. Leaves somewhat fleshy; in full
sun on sandy flats.
