NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN

Plants up to 1.5 (or nearly 2) m tall,
single-stemmed, evidently short-lived, but no
separate basal rosettes seen. Stem strict,
erect, with short, ascending peduncular
branches. Flowers white to pale lavender.
