Wyoming. Johnson Co.: 13*5 miles w. of Buffalo
Hwy. 16, alt. ca. 6900 ft. In wet meadow,
full sun. Common. Stems to 1 m. tall, un-
branched, the heads short pedunculate in the
axils of foliage leaves, usually quite con-
gested near the summit; stems hollow, often
infested by borers; heads heavily parasitized
by larval stages. C. puloherrimum also at

this station.
