A power line right-of-way occurs just west of a ditch and Saint Avenue plus
east of a deciduous forest. It is approximately 9 miles south/southwest of
Cresco and on the Iowan Surface. There are 20+ Cirsium muticum in bloom
plus two large vegetative genets in wet-meslc prairie In the right-of-way. The
corollas are medium purple-red. The collection comes from a genet that is
1.78 meters tall. Cirsium muticum is associated with Aster umbellatus.
Parthenocissus auinouefolia. PoduIus tremuloides. Prunus americana.
Rudbeckia laciniata. Rudbeckia triloba. Solidaao aiaantea. Spartina pectinata.
Spiraea alba. Viburnum lentaoo and Vitis riparia.
