southwest of Monticello, on mountain road
to Blandlng, alt. ca. 9500 ft. (but seen
as low as 8500 ft. to the southward).
Locally abundant. Plants perennial, with
several stems together; stems reddish-
purple; corollas white. Some variation
in the apical appendage of the inner
phyllaries was noted.
