R5W; unstable canyon slope in Wyoming big sagebrush
zone; fine-textured ash soil, SSW exposure, 60%
slope, 4500 ft.; occasional with Oryzopsis
hymenoides, Bromus tectorum, Tetradymia glabrata,
Atriplex confertifolia and Chrysothamnus
vicidiflorus ssp. puberulus; plants 0.2-1.0 m tall.
