Southern Bahian Wet Forest. Soil deep, clay, light brown to reddish (lower slopes ideal for growing cocoa).

Description
Tree, ca. 6 m. Leaves dark green above, paler beneath, subcoriaceous; flowers pale yellow (petals and "column"); young fruit green. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
