Description
huge tree. A huge tree with a broad subpyramidal crown, with a massive swollen trunk, ca. 3.5 ft. diameter d.b.h.; gray bark, slightly furrowed; no knees seen. Possiblly originated from Parsons Nursery, ca. 1900. Two smaller trees seen in Kissena Park, Flushin, by John Silba, near pond, nearby. Cultivated as a street tree. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
