Leaves green, central vein paler. Outer row of involucral bracts green; inner row brown green with yellowish margins; tubular flowers yellow; filaments and pistil yellow; anthers brown. Fruits black with light brown hairs and apical spines. Elfin forest, top of Mt. Scenery, beside the fence of the radio station. Moist soil, partly shaded by trees. 01910541
