pavillions. Upland mixed forest, with Quercus
virginiana, Liquidambar styraciflua, Q. nigra,

Pinus laeda, Saba! palmetto. Disc flowers
yellow; ray flowers 2-3, yellow. Achenes
fusiform, 8-18 mm long; awns 3-4, retrorsely
barbed.
