New York Mountains, Eastern Mojave Desert. Upper part
of Carruther’s Cyn on slopes and ridgetops. Granite
and limestone w/ Pinus monophylla, Quercus turbinella,
Boutelloua gracilis.

Low annual, fls pale yellow. Locally common, esp. on
summit of New York Peak.
