SALT LAKE CO., UTAH: Ca. 15 mi. SE of downtown Salt Lake City,
Utah in Little Cottonwood Canyon below Cardiff Pass, the
Wasatch Range. T3S, R3E, Sec5 NW 1/4. Elev. 8900 ft. Ca. 200
ft., above Alta Guard Station in Little Cottonwood Canyon
on open, steep, rocky, S-facing slope, locally dominated by
Eriogonum heracleoides. In rock crevices formed by Mineral
Fork Tillite. (red-black fine grained crystalline rock).
Not observed on any other rock formation.
