Precipitous mountainsides ca. 12 miles west of Tepic, 6.5 miles east
of Jalcocotan; region of moist tropical forests, with oak forests on
the ridges and Croton, Inga, Sideroxylon, in the barrancas; eleva-
tion 800-1200 m.

Locally abundant in deep barranca.

Fertile and sterile fronds separate, or
some fertile at tips; fertile ones yellow or
yellow green beneath; sterile rooting at tips,
