Asteraceae Baccharis salicifolia (Ruiz & Pav6n) Persoon CASTAIC CREEK: confluence of Fish Canyon and general vicinity. Whitaker Peak USGS 7.5' quadrangle; T6N R17W, SE/4 section 16, and N/2 NE/4 section 22; elevation 1615-1880 (riparian area and lower adjacent slopes). Locally common shrubs, particularly on mesic flats along the margin of the creek. Corollas cream-white, generally with a pinkish tinge to the buds.
