Atrichoseris platyphylla Gray

Glabrous annual; leaves in flat basal rosette; thick, glaucous, mot-
tled with gray-green^ and light green dorsally, purple ventrally,
margin fluted, erase; scapes usually 1, brittle, 0.3-1 m. tall; heads
of pure white or faint pink ligulate florets. Rocky slope, open
Larrea association, altitude ca. 1900 feet. Pinto Mountains near
Meek Mine and ca. 2.5 miles beyond Mission Well,

Riverside County.
