Suggests a hybrid between A. lateriflorus i*. and A.
simplex Willd., but A. prenanthoides Muhl. wa3 the
only other Aster noted at this station. Lobes of
the disk-eorollas about 46—54 percent of the limb.

Small swale on open summit of high ridge in fountains
northwest of Abingdon, Washington °ounty.
