Description
CAP: 13.5 - 6.5 wide; convex to plane; surface smooth and cracking in age (yellow flesh in cracks); deep red fading to a yellow margin; light yellow flesh, 1.5 cm thick; TUBES: bright yellow, staining blue-green slowly when bruised or cut; decurrent; 0.5 cm tall; STIPE: 6.5 - 11.5 cm tall, 1.2 - 2 cm thick; deep red except yellow apex; slightly reticulate.
