R12E, elev. 7000 ft., loose ground above
shallow arroyo.

Shrub ca. 1 m tall, uneven tops with
flowering-stalks arising throughout the
ccown. Two forms present: one very dense
branching pattern and herbage, bark
grayish, leaves smaller, inflorescene more
congested toward the top; other looser
branching pattern and herbage, leaves
larger, bark paler brown, inflorescences
loosely arranged in the crown.
